Hello, I'm Johnny DeMaagd.
I graduated from Hope College in 2019, where I double majored in chemistry and sociology and minored in business. I grew up in Woodland, went to school in Hastings, and now I work in Middleville at Left Field Café on Main, which I founded in 2018.

Drain Commissioner is a heavily ecologically based position with both managerial and science research experience required. While at Hope College, I served as a Professor's assistant for biology laboratory for four semesters helping instruct topics such as ecology, animal habitats, and plant biology.
I was also elected as President of our the honor society on campus, where I worked with the National Office to ensure that all guidelines and standards were being met, much like the Drain Commissioner must do with the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

Now I work at my coffee shop where I meet with local citizens and have the opportunity to build and foster community in Barry County. I'm beyond humbled to be running for Drain Commissioner and I look forward to earning your vote.
